Bird’s Nest Soup

Tonight, I made bird’s nest (made of the hardened saliva of the male swiftlet) soup with Buydeem health-care kettle. The kettle has a featured designed for bird’s nest soup (about 30 minutes).

What you need:

  • Bird’s nest, 1-2 piece(s)
  • Rock sugar
  • Goji berries, 4-6

How to make it:

  1. Soak the bird’s nest in water for 4 hours until it has softened and expanded. Change the water at 2 hours and remove some tiny feathers and dirt in between the layers. Tear the bird’s nest to small pieces.
  2. Rinse it with clean water and put into the stew pot, add some water (to cover the top of the bird’s nest). Put the goji berries inside the stew pot as well. You can also do dates.
  3. Add 1000ml water into the Buydeem health pot, put the stew pot into health pot, choose “Bird’s nest” function.
  4. When it stop working (about 30min), add rock sugar and milk in the stew pot (leave it inside the pot for 5-10 minutes)
  5. Enjoy immediately!
